Blast Your Foes with Stars! Mastering Glintstone Sorcery

Stones and Stars Collide: The Glintstone Build You NEED to Try!

Get Good with Glintstone Magic

A fledgling Tarnished stepping into the scholarly arts of glintstone magic! Glintstone sorceries are a form of magic hailing from the prestigious Academy of Raya Lucaria. These sorceries harness the power of glintstones—mineral stones imbued with the essence of the stars themselves.

The process involves channeling the latent magical energies through a staff, which acts as a conduit for the sorcerer. Each spell can vary greatly in effect, ranging from hurling condensed bolts of energy to creating protective barriers or manipulating the environment around you.

To wield glintstone magic, you must attune to it. This requires Intelligence and a keen sense of the cosmos’ subtle harmonies. The more you invest in your intellectual pursuits (raising your intelligence attribute), the more potent your spells become.

Here's a basic rundown of how to get started with glintstone magic:

Obtain a Staff

Essential for casting spells. Staves can be found or purchased and vary in their scaling with intelligence.

Learn Spells

Acquire sorceries and bring them to a sorcerer who can teach you the spells contained within.

Equip and Attune Spells

In a safe area, typically near a Site of Grace, open your menu to equip and attune the spells you wish to use.

Manage FP

Casting spells consumes FP (focus points), which you can replenish with items like the Cerulean Flask.

As for fashion, while studying the mysteries of glintstone, consider attire that complements your scholarly pursuit. The traditional garb of Raya Lucaria scholars not only enhances your magical capabilities but also ensures you look the part—a stylish savant, draped in robes that shimmer with the lustre of the stars themselves!

Elden Bling 💍

Fred Glintstone

What whimsical wordplay! The "Fred Glintstone" build, a delightful fusion of playful nomenclature and Elden Ring's rigorous sorcery mechanics, surely brings a smile to the somber halls of the Roundtable Hold. This build, named in jest after the iconic Flintstones character, emphasizes the use of Glintstone Sorcery with perhaps a dash of primitive, stone-age aesthetic to boot.

Here’s what typically characterizes the "Fred Glintstone" build:

Heavy Emphasis on Intelligence

The cornerstone of any glintstone sorcerer’s arsenal is a high Intelligence stat, maximizing the effectiveness of glintstone spells.

Glintstone Sorceries

Spells like Glintstone Pebble and Glintstone Stars are staples, mimicking Fred's rudimentary yet effective tools from the Stone Age.

Staff as Primary Weapon

A sorcerer’s staff, particularly one that enhances the potency of glintstone spells, is crucial. The Carian Regal Scepter is a fitting choice, as it boosts the power of full moon sorceries and fits the royal aesthetic.

Secondary Melee Weapon

Since no "Fred" would be complete without his club, incorporating a simple but effective melee weapon like the Stone Club or Great Club can add a humorous touch to the build, providing a backup option when enemies close in.

Right Hand Armament

Carian Regal Scepter

Magic scepter of Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon, made from the pure gold native to the region. An exquisitely beautiful artifact that embodies the Carian royal family's magical legacy. This staff is used to cast sorceries and is particularly effective with Carian sorceries. It is renowned for boosting the potency of Full Moon sorceries.

Left Hand Armament

Stone Club

Signature weapon of battlemages, hewn from hard glintstone. This club is much heavier than its size suggests, but has no magic power. So that they not lose sight of the true essence of combat, battlemages prefer to feel the impact of their blows, fighting their opponents hand to hand.

Armor set

Shaman Furs

Raiment fashioned from a bristly pelt. Worn by ancestral follower shamans.

Azur's Manchettes

Manchettes corroded by blue-green glintstones. Worn by Azur, primeval current sorcerer.

Fur Leggings

Leggings fashioned from bristly pelts. Worn by ancestral follower warriors. The ancestral followers keep their distance from the Erdtree, awaiting new buds. They are certain to sprout from their very flesh, and indeed, their souls.

Talismans

Radagon's Soreseal

This talisman is an eye engraved with a magic seal. It is a remnant of Radagon's power, signifying the solemn history and authority of the Erdtree and its Golden Order. This legendary talisman is an eye engraved with an Elden Rune, said to be the seal of King Consort Radagon.

Effect: Greatly raises attributes but also increases the damage taken by the wearer. This makes it an excellent choice for players looking to enhance their abilities at a higher risk.
Carian Filigreed Crest

A talisman depicting a special blessing of the Erdtree. It is cherished among those who walk the path of the Erdtree pilgrimage, signifying the grace and favor of the golden order.

Effect: Lowers FP consumed by skills.
Godskin Swaddling Cloth

Sacred cloth of the Godskin Apostles, made from an supple skin sewn together that constantly absorbs ambient warmth. The cloth bears the creases of having swaddled something for a long time, yet it remains immaculate.

Effect: Successive attacks restore HP.
Twinblade Talisman

Description: A talisman depicting a twinblade and a confessor holding scales, symbolizing judgment through skill.

Effect: Enhances the final hit of chain attacks.

This is an invasion character, hence stopping at level 70. Fred tries to stick to his roots as much as possible slinging rocks and shooting bow and arrow (look it might be magic but it's neolithic ok don't question it).

Fred has however leveled enough int to realize that sometimes subtlety is warranted, hence the ambush shard
